Half of all girls drop out of sports because they’ve been told they don’t have the right body type. That’s why we teamed up with Sports Illustrated to redefine the way we see young female athletes, rewriting outdated narratives and archaic body standards. And what better way to do that than giving girls everywhere a new kind of role model: fierce, ferocious, fabulous atheltes that are breaking records and smashing stereotypes all across the country.
This first-ever edition of Sports Re-Illustrated hit news stands right before the Super Bowl alongside an incredible launch event hosted by the queen of female badassery herslf, Billie Jean King.
As the sole copwriter and a creative lead on the project, I oversaw everything from concept to production, was the lead editor for all magazine content, wrote our issue introduction, and created an entire campaign of supporting content.
